This is Frank. He is the perfect example of why golden retrievers don't make good guard dogs. But they make wonderful welcome committees. 13/10 (TT: accordingtobelieve)

I see a lot of people saying now is the time to get out of the U.S. if you can.

Please remember most disabled people can’t leave. It’s incredibly difficult to immigrate to another country when you have documented medical issues. Many are also too sick to endure a move.

We must fight for them.

Disability is not a personal or moral failing. Everyone is one accident, infection or stroke of bad luck from becoming disabled.

When someone asks for help, give it freely and without strings. Don’t judge them or tell them to “try harder”.

One day it’ll be your turn.

This is Ziggy. He is a senior dog who is often mistaken for a puppy. Will drop his skincare routine if you drop part of your sandwich. 14/10 #SeniorPupSaturday

So as someone that's gone through their entire adult life with a chronic illness, I have a really intensified perspective when it comes to health-related issues and I just want to be clear: disability does not discriminate. If we're fortunate enough to age, we'll all deal with degrees of disability.

This is Lily. She had a torn ligament in her leg and needed surgery so she could walk again. Thanks to your recent support of our merch, @15outof10.org was able to cover her entire $7,500 hospital bill. She has since fully healed and has found a forever human whose smile is as sweet as hers ❤️‍🩹

This is probably not a surprise to people in the disability community, and I apologize for my ignorance about it, but I have been genuinely surprised how much immediate government wrath is going towards people in the disability community

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

An update on the TikTok situation from our monitoring on Reddit. Now you get TOS'ed for saying negative comments about meta and Zuckerberg, left-wing politics get flagged as misinformation, and you can't tag #fucktrump #fuckelon or #fuckmeta but you CAN tag #fuckbiden and #fuckkamala

Tomorrow will be a dark day for many.

For disabled, marginalized, LGBTQ+ folks & women. For anyone who still cares about others

The disability community saw this coming. It’s important we listen & understand that labelling people as expendable for 5 years leads nowhere good 🧵

As many people (including loved ones) leave internet spaces more and more, stating the need for offline community & divesting from anti-LGBTQ spaces - I understand & validate those stances, but I'm also concerned for those of us who can't find in-person community reliably due to disability.
