Government decisions should never be for sale—yet Trump and his family's crypto schemes are ripe for corruption.

And they're doing it at a time when we NEED more energy from reliable and affordable energy sources. Make it make sense!!

Is this abundance?

This project was approved under FAST-41, meaning it had expedited permit approvals. It also had labor, domestic supply chain, power offtake agreements for communities attached to it... meaning a whole lot of high quality American jobs and affordable energy just went up in flames.
The Grain Belt Express Transmission Line would increase grid reliability and reduce electricity prices for American families. It’s EXACTLY the kind of project experts say we need to meet increasing demand.

Hawley, Trump, and Chris Wright just killed it, with zero justification.

The president who tried to end democracy and is currently sending people to overseas forever prisons without trial and without any ability for recompense is threatening to revoke the citizenship of people whose political speech he disagrees with.

What would we say if we saw that in another country?

As climate disasters grow more severe, we need stronger forecasting. But of course our President is doing the exact opposite of that by gutting NOAA and NWS. Read more here: 🔗https://www.americanprogress.org/article/the-lasting-threat-of-trumps-cuts-to-noaa-and-nws-on-american-communities/

We STILL don’t even final estimates for:
-how many people lose health insurance
-how many people lose SNAP
-who wins/loses and by how much
-total Medicaid cuts
-total health care cuts
-total SNAP cuts
-total education cuts

Because knowing that didn’t matter to the people who supported it.

The Senate's "trillions for billionaires" bill just got even worse, kicking more people off medicaid and ⬆️ utility bills for families by hundreds of $$$. The Republican rate hike bill even adds higher taxes to solar and wind while giving more $ to coal and oil companies. Corrupt, reverse Robin Hood.

Rs are going at lightning speed BECAUSE they want to pass the “big beautiful bill” before anyone knows

I truly think it’s reprehensible that elected Republicans are calling the largest Medicaid cuts in history by far “protecting Medicaid.”

This bill would kick more than ten million people off Medicaid. It isn’t strengthening the program - it’s denying access for millions.

An amazing time for Congress to slash policies that have driven a massive private-sector boom of investing in clean energy and transportation technologies that can help break dependence on foreign oil / global oil prices. No notes.
BREAKING: Iran’s Parliament approves the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Decision needs ratified by Iran’s Security Council.

It would trap 20% of the world’s oil supply and send a catastrophic shock through the global economy.

But he ignored Juneteenth, explaining: “Too many non-working holidays.”

Well I asked the non-partisan CBO and they confirmed the GOP tax scam would hurt the finances of low-income Americans the most while giving benefits to the wealthiest among us.
Funding cuts to Medicaid and other programs included in the sweeping tax-and-spending bill would hurt low-income households financially more than the tax cuts would boost their finances, according to nonpartisan analyses of the bill.
GOP tax bill could hurt the poorest households more than it helps them
Cuts to Medicaid and anti-poverty programs wipe out gains low-income households could see from policies like no taxes on tips and overtime, nonpartisan estimates show.

The benefit of cutting social programs was never about saving money. The “benefit” of cutting social programs is keeping “those” people in their place. Its about making sure lower status groups can’t move up the social hierarchy ladder and challenge the “real americans.”
The poverty team at Columbia ran the numbers on *just* the Thrifty rollback and *just* on families with kids and found that for every $1 in cuts ("savings"), we all lose $14-20. My goodness.

Literally begging you to tell your friends, your neighbors, your coworkers, your family.

People have vaguely heard of “the one big beautiful bill,” but very few people know Rs are WEEKS away from uninsuring millions - and will do it unless we can get a groundswell of opposition to stop them.
Congress is WEEKS away from kicking more than 10 million people off their health insurance via $1 trillion in health care cuts.

It passed the House and is now in the Senate - which is planning to vote in a few weeks. Then back to the House to be re-passed.

We have only a few weeks to stop this.
