We're not living through normal times.

Don't try to normalize it.

It may be breaking, but @booker.senate.gov's voice has never been more powerful.

Thank you, my friend, for speaking out for freedom, justice, and the country we love.

A Black man just beat the record for the longest filibuster, defeating the record previously held by a man who filibustered the literal Civil Rights Act.

As the time ticked over, Cory Booker announced he did it not out of hatred for who he opposed, but out of love for those who supported him.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the story going forward...

This is what then Mayor Cory Booker did when the cameras were off.

Can anyone imagine the current occupant of the Oval Office doing anything resembling this?

Corey Booker has given Democrats much more than a roadmap.

He’s given us hope.

Thurmond was the same age as Booker when he set the record Senator Cory Booker just broke.

Thurmond was afforded a bathroom break and read from the encyclopedia. Booker held the floor the entire time and delivered a consistent, cogent speech for more than 24 hours.

Incredible.

Corey Booker just raised the bar, concluding with a call for “good trouble.” Now his fellow Dems need to clear it—and raise it higher.

He usually tries to at least open with broad vague lines that are “hard” to not clap for. He’s not even trying this time around.

Quick reminder ahead of Donald Trump’s speech tonight:

He promised that he would “immediately bring prices down, starting on Day 1.”

It’s now Day 44.

Prices have gone up.

Inflation’s gotten worse.

And Trump’s done nothing to lower costs for working people.

Nothing quite as delusional as this speech right now… while we’re headed for a recession. And people who have defended you literally finally seeing the light…

We’re focused on feeding our kids.

Investing in our schools.

Making sure child care is affordable.

Regardless of the chaos unfolding in Washington, we’re making Minnesota the best state for kids to grow up.

Nearly one-quarter of doctors say prior authorization has "led to a serious adverse event for a patient in their care."

Big corporations are forcing doctors to put patients after profits.

We need @sanders.senate.gov and my plan for Medicare for All to make sure doctors can provide quality care.

So... all the MAGA die hards... where are the lower prices on groceries? gas? All I'm seeing is how we're all going to be hurting in the next year and have far less autonomy...

incredible to have a president who appears to be speed-running getting impeached, and even more incredible to to have two other branches of government who are just sitting there watching it as if it is actually a livestream which they are unable to impact in any way
