If House Republicans want to “protect the innocence of children,” they should ban assault weapons — not healthcare.

Instead, they’re using the power of the federal government to bully trans kids in bathrooms, schools, and now doctors’ offices.

Today, House Republicans wasted committee time targeting the Southern Poverty Law Center, going after the organization’s finances and ties to Democratic administrations.

It’s stunning hypocrisy coming from the party of the Koch brothers and the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025.

After taking over housing and healthcare, private equity is now buying up software used by volunteer fire departments — making it even harder for rural communities to respond to emergencies.

The only winners from private equity's price-gouging spree are wealthy investors.

Rob Reiner had one of the most wide-ranging audiences of any American filmmaker. People rewatch his films with nostalgia and joy. They quote them with parents and pass them down to children.

Ignore the other one's commentary. It's like a black hole commenting on the sun.

I think the same can be said for any university that offers/offered a diverse catalog of coursework to its students. There were no bogeymen there to begin with; their studies opened students’ minds to becoming the adults they were going to become.
But mostly there was a great big university where people were earnestly studying every field imaginable. It was a place that accommodated both the members of the Spartacus Youth League and the Porcellian Club.
