Kaltxì! I guess introductions are a thing, so I'm u/Karyu_Skxawng on Reddit! AskHistorians mod who writes about constructed languages (eg, Esperanto and Klingon). I'm more focused on studying the history of conlangs than the languages themselves—not actly involved with the craft or community today.
Sharing this again in part to say hi, and largely so that I can alert future readers that this original Introduction is an 8-skeet thread and not a single post. ⬇️ Read it to learn about my time in AH, and why I think #conlang history matters and deserves broader attention.

The medication stockpile bill is the bill I had pegged this year as the most important kind of bill to pass given federal threats, with a short time window to make it happen. Washington passed the same bill earlier this year.

The *NSYNC music you hear today isn't necessarily what the band sounded like in the 90s, but a reconstruction. It is what linguists THINK the band sounded like, based on the evolution of its members' careers after they split up, but b/c no record of the original music survives, we can't be certain.
