Just had a lovely woman in our shop in Donegal, searching for her lost twin sister. Appreciate it if my Irish followers would retweet this. Thank you.

We're almost there! Irish Summer Time kicks in just 16 days, and from then until September, the sun won’t set before 7:56pm. 🎉 A big relief for SO many of us - especially those with Usher syndrome who experience night blindness!

Trudeau is absolute class.
Canadian PM Justin Trudeau:

"Today, the United States launched a trade war against Canada - their closest partner and ally, their closest friend. At the same time, they're talking about working positively with Russia, appeasing Vladimir Putin - a lying murderous dictator. Make that makes sense."

Are Americans even aware that Putin has ordered the stealing of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children who are now in Russia? Because your President doesn’t give a single shit about that.

As February is Retinitis Pigmentosa month - this is want you to know from me:

Blindness is a spectrum.

All blind people are not all born blind, but have degenerative conditions. So we remember sight and understand descriptions.

Blind people are bloody good at finding solutions.

Hey #speirgorm I need your expertise. I'm listening to an audio book on the history of Ireland and the narrator is pronouncing "Celtic" with a hard C (k sound). He sounds like he has an Irish accent. Is that pronunciation considered the correct one or is it determined by something else

Word of the morning is ‘williwaw’ (19th century): a sudden violent squall or a toppling gust of wind.

Goes well with ‘thunderplump’: a sudden downpour that soaks you to the skin in seconds.

For all my new Irish friends, because of the strangest case of mistaken identity in the history of Irish-American relations, I've been invited to be interviewed by Katie Hannon. The taping is tomorrow and I'll let you know when it's scheduled to be aired

Please re-post the f*** out of this
I don’t get Carers’ Allowance, yet I provide 24/7/365 care, and have done for past 20 years.

Honestly, I’m tired, and at times my mind tries to overtake my sanity.

‘in Budget 2025, the carer’s (sic)allowance was increased by €12. They will also get the €400 “cost of living” lump sum.’
