Frost: For so long, the right wing has held up patriotism as a vibe, as an aesthetic. But patriotism is more than bald eagles and flags and beer. Patriotism is about loving the people who live in the damn country — every single one of them.

Right after he was reelected, I posted a comment asserting that his goal was to make himself an emperor by taking control of other sovereign countries and territories. At the time, Venezuela wasn't in play, but it looks like I was right. Sorry to say,"I told you so."
Looks like Trump is doing a little resume-building.

Submitted without a comment to his Truth Social a little after 8 PM ET on Sunday night, the president posted a screen grab of what looks like his Wikipedia page, but directly under his official photo is the title, “Acting President of Venezuela.”

I can't believe I'm posting this video - but we actually have to have a conversation about the real world implications of America going to war over Greenland.

Let me walk you through it. It doesn't turn out well for us.

This is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia.

Thousands singing “Hey-Oh, we won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.”

Really listen to it.

"Iron laws of the world"? Some of America's most important national accomplishments are about leading humanity away from this kind of bullshit.

If we let ideologues like Stephen Miller drag us back into a world where brute force is all that matters, all of us will be less safe.

Zelensky on Venezuela:

“About Venezuela? How should I respond to that? Well, what can I say? If… If it is possible to act with dictators like this, it means the United States knows what to do next. Thank you”

Omg I love it.

...or another country invading the United States and abducting its president and first lady? It's lucky for us that no one in the world views him as a criminal.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

"Weird"? More like demented
Maria Shriver, niece of JFK:

He was a man interested in the arts, culture, education, language, history... It is beyond comprehension that the president has sought to rename this great memorial.

C’mon my fellow Americans! Wake up! This is not dignified. This is not funny... It’s downright weird.

Amen
Though I learned the valuable lessons that we are NOT the country we thought we were, and that some of my neighbors are NOT decent people.
Oh and that "American Christian" is apparently an oxymoron.

President Zelenskyy came to the White House, looking for help from his longstanding ally.

He was ambushed, humiliated and berated for not being grateful enough.

Prince Bone Saw bin 9/11 came to the White House, for the first time since he ordered the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

He was revered.
