Justice Merchan must be celebrated and defended because his profile in courage stands out in a sea of cowards. My new article about how Merchan refused to cower to Trump this week as opposed to so many others! deanobeidallah.substack.com/p/finally-so...
Finally, someone has the courage to stand up to Trump!

We are beginning to see this all over the U.S. political-economic system — giant corporations and hugely wealthy people going out of their way to appease King Trump even in advance of his coronation.

He wants to shut down the government—just as Elon Musk does—because both men considered themselves owners of the government the moment the election results came in.

That's not how America works; that's not how democracy works; but neither man has ever cared about that, and isn't going to start now.

A GOP member of the House DOGE Caucus admitted yesterday that cuts to Social Security and Medicare are "on the table".

Don't be fooled: the real mission of DOGE isn't to make government more "efficient".

It's to slash the social safety net on behalf of the billionaires.

OH NO, here we go!

The blue-chip index CONTINUED its LOSING Streak now to 10 days.

It's the LONGEST stretch SINCE Gerald FORD was PRESIDENT.

On Tuesday, investors priced a 98% chance of a Fed rate cut in January. After Jerome Powell's press conference Wednesday, it went down to a 6% chance.

There's no surprise about who Trump is. There's no surprise about who Elon is. Yet somehow major media has altogether failed to get any appreciable percentage of Americans to understand it, even as it also spends most of its time blaming everyone but itself for under-informing the American populace.

Mark Levin is one of those people who can only be understood by perceiving him as the schlocky, hacky entertainer he is.

He's playing a preposterous, bigoted, ill-informed character who a certain audience finds entrancing in the same way toddlers were once obsessed with Barney the Purple Dinosaur.

When they talk about privatizing Veterans’ care and Medicare, they mean allowing companies to provide healthcare for a profit.

But how do companies make those profits? By *denying* care to many who need it.

Don’t get fooled by the “privatization” label. It means “for profit” and YOU are the cost.
