Ok, annoying but necessary nuance here:
This is AI *upscaling*, not Gen ai. AFAIK, it doesnt scrape media or need data centers. No environmental or ethical concerns as of current info.
HOWEVER, I'd still opt out as it will play havoc with low res. It's like motion smoothing, you dont want it 😅

*End users* can opt out, and will be able to check in the player whether they are watching a real or upscaled video. But I am very curious, if you could put an exact cost on this decision in terms of kWh/atmospheric CO2, what the total would come to.

Up until recently, the only big mod for Metal Gear Solid 5 was Infinite Heaven, a kinda 'everything and the kitchen sink' sandbox.
