Twitter migrator, hoping that the sports and political people that I follow establish residence here so I can close out that toxic site
Pinned
🧵/1.... Loving everything going on w/ @bsky.app. I typically used Twitter for 3 things that I'd love to have just here:
1. News/politics (select accounts)
2. Sports (mostly #NFL / #NHL)
3. Business (topics in industry/technology)

I check back on some of these, but will ONLY post, like, reply here

Checked back on Twitter to see if it was still a site for business? Checked Ford, IBM , Oracle , Salesforce. Accounts that would routinely get thousands, tens of thousands of likes and retweets. Now barely posting & typically below 50 & several in single digits….now if we can just sports over here

Shouldn't the Discover tab on @bsky.app only be showing accounts that you don't already follow?? Half of what I see there are people I'm already either following or have on lists...

Headline writing is everything and its as big a cause of how we got here as the multitude of other reasons....
Reporters, headline writers need to make it crystal clear - it's the Republican leaders/members in the House and the Senate who have the power to stop Trump's tax (tariff) madness destroying our economy. Dems are ready to do this.

This is all on Republicans. These headlines are deeply misleading.
Congress has power over tariffs, but stopping Trump isn't likely as of now
Stock market indices have sharply fallen on the heels of President Trump imposing higher tariffs on more than 180 countries.

What's worse? That the president and his "advisors" do not understand basic economics or that they do not care. Or is it that they do not understand that they do not understand and do not care that they do not understand that they do not understand or care? open.substack.com/pub/davidrot...

Pete Hegseth is a f*cking liar. This is so clearly classified info he recklessly leaked that could’ve gotten our pilots killed.

He needs to resign in disgrace immediately.

the larger issue: Rs are dangerously incompetent- on DOGE, on economy, on natl security. They don't care enough about America to get it remotely right.

It’s gotten to the point that the only way to definitively know something is good for the US or the world is if Trump and Musk are against it.

Today is a sign I don’t need Twitter in my life.

If I can get through the first hours of NFL free agency without it. I probably don’t need it anymore

Note to media: It is a mistake to directly quote Musk’s and other’s assertions about “unelected judges.” Judges who are selected or approved by democratically elected officials are therefore chosen by representatives of the people. Per our laws. Nothing undemocratic about it at all.
