Exactly: THe stories on what didn't get done bc Noem required her personal signature (in additional to call centers, the rescue teams) aren't stating clearly that one reason Noem is doing this is bc she's $1B over budget bc she has blown it all on kidnapping grannies.
Further context: If you’ve never dealt with FEMA after a disaster I can tell you they answer within 30 seconds. No hold times. Real live wonderful people who help while you cry and can’t even figure out what questions to ask. They walk you through it all. Every call.

I would actually prefer that scientists in the government conduct this research properly and provide their recommendations to me.

They estimate this operation has cost the U.S. over $16M which is low because it doesn't count the photo op flights in and out by Kristi Noem and Pete Hegseth. They built 1600 tents that ICE can't use because they are inhumane.

The military is deleting social media posts featuring female service members and website content featuring women’s military history.
The Army deleted my “Why I served” video where I talked about how I decided I wanted to attend West Point/join the Army after one of the cadets my family used to sponsor died in combat. Probably deleted because she was the first black woman to be CSM at West Point.

Military families already give up a lot to support military service so this is really heartbreaking to me.
