It’s so important to never engage with trolls or derangers.
Report, & BLOCK!

Bluesky blocks the accounts for everyone on a thread. Its the Bluesky culture to choke trolls by BLOCKING every single time.

I know it’s hard not to defend our #Sussexsquad, but the only way to clean trolls is block.

I refuse to believe politicians are forgetting how rancid MTG is. Sure we can have a big tent but we do not need to welcome someone like her. Please everyone get a fucking hold of yourselves.

My favourite.
Saw it in the theatres and it aged even better.
On this day, 33 years ago, Bram Stoker’s Dracula was released in cinemas.

Starring #GaryOldman, #WinonaRyder, #KeanuReeves and #AnthonyHopkins it was an Oscar-winning, critically acclaimed success and one of the most revered #vampire movies ever.

As long as NYT is asking “Did women ruin the workplace” can they also ask:
•Did men ruin safe workplaces?
•Did men ruin domestic safety?
•Did men ruin public safety?
•Did men ruin global peace?
Or is a clear “YES” to all these questions just too difficult for fragile men to accept—so NYT avoids it?🤔

SO GOOD

During the first lockdown we rewatched all these original Godzilla on YouTube.

Highly recommend.
The Japanese epic kaiju film "GODZILLA" the first film in the Godzilla franchise directed and co-written by Ishirō Honda, with special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya was released in Japan #OnThisDay in 1954

The Republican party has embraced full-on fascism while the Democratic party has staked out a position on immigration that is slightly different from mine. I have never felt more politically homeless.

As the lights continue to dim on our Democracy, I just want to go on record that I have always believed that everyone deserves quality universal health coverage whatever it’s called. No one should ever have to worry about going to the doctor and putting food on the table. No one. It’s a human right.

Just rewatched again last weekend.
It never disappoints.

John Roberts: Eliminating racial discrimination means eliminating all of it.

Brett Kavanaugh: Totes.

*immigrants being profiled by ICE enter the chat*

Roberts Court: Yeah but I didn't mean like that. The cops can definitely still arrest you because you're brown.

Kav: *chugs beer in agreement*

Can’t remember what I had for breakfast tho.
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

The agony of group work.

No one wanted to do the work. I did it myself.
Got in trouble for not working as a “team”.

WTF
Really struggling today with the fact that Autistic kids are 'encouraged' to get various kinds of therapy to help with social skills yet non-Autistic kids can be vicious little arseholes to anyone who's different and that's just 'normal'.

Reading Rainbow emphasis is encouraging kids to read. The focus is not on teaching them to read. The mission is reading should be fun!

We are all readers, worthy of literacy. LeVar Burton said “but you don’t have to take my word for it” because he wanted us to look to the books. That’s the beauty 💚

And with no pushback from democrats, this is the exact okay that will be used in 2026 midterms.
Just don’t allow any elected democrats to even open an office.
My god, Mike Johnson is such a spineless, weak little man. Adelita Grijalva is not only not sworn in, but she can't hire staff and is locked out of her office. Are there any adults with a backbone still working in DC? #inners

‘thats not autism, thats just a normal human trait.’

Me: cheers for pointing out autistic people are also human.

I do things that "normal" humans do aswell, however far more intensely or less to the point where it impacts my day to day life which may lead to burnout or meltdowns. What about you?!

Marches right alongside “we deserve better”
I think what’s most frustrating right now for Black and Indigneous people is waiting for the bulk of white folks to catch up.

At some point the “this isn’t who we are” and “I didn’t have this on my bingo card” has to end and y’all will catch up, right? RIGHT?

WE NEED YOU TO CATCH UP.

It's all fun and games until they suddenly decide that your Autistic traits are just something you wear to be awkward and annoying and now they need to get rid of you. Sigh. Don't worry, I'm good at leaving.

Clarence Thomas announced that he doesn't care about precedent and is making it up as he goes along. He didn't say it *like that* of course, because then people would have noticed.
But I noticed, through the jargon, and explain it here in @thenation.

I had a judge presiding over one of my cases ask me if I had been a defendant in one of his cases because he recognized me. I was like nope. I'm counsel. I was dressed impeccably in a vintage Calvin Klein suit that I'd paid way too much money for. It happened in 2005ish and I still think about it.
So exhausting..
