Some good news. ActBlue just announced major updates to crack down on deceptive fundraising. New rules ban impersonation, fake matches, and excessive spam. Big step in the right direction.

Shout out to Josh Nelson and everyone who has been advocating for these changes.

💯What Andrew said! Loving these new Cockpit Casual episodes - so interesting to those of us who have to ride in the back of the plane. Congrats to @stevenomadic.bsky.social et al.
If you have even a passing interest in aviation, and you’re not watching Steve’s new series, you’re really missing out.

Steve’s stuff is always broadcast level but this new series takes it to 11. Definitely worth a watch.

If we stop calling these “grants” and start calling them “contracts,” it’s clearer to people why this is such an abuse of power. This wasn’t a bunch of gifts. This was a bunch of binding contracts between researchers and the US govt for specific agreed upon projects.
Research into quantum mechanics, volcanic eruptions and all sorts of other studies already underway canceled for no reason - a waste of resources, loss of innovation and undercutting expertise across multiple fields.

* Audits of millionaires declined by 71%.

Attn "never forget, never again" consensus, if you ever were an actual thing...
With another set of news headlines about political elites using “””Roman salutes””” I just want to note that the Nazi salute means “I want to murder your family” and the n-word means “I want to lynch you.” That’s what they mean, they make me righteously angry, and I won’t let anybody minimize them.
