We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

IMPEACH NOW
This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

I am looking for congressional leaders to come out quickly and forcefully against this. We need unequivocal opposition. We need theatric demonstrations of defiance. We need to see leadership. Trump will steamroll us all if we display weakness. Where are our leaders?
An act of war weeks in planning but unauthorized by Congress against a country that Trump's own director of intelligence testified under oath was not close to getting a nuclear weapon.

A fragile, deeply insecure emperor with no clothes.
This looks and sounds like a very frightened man.

We don’t learn from history. We find new and sophisticated ways to repeat it.
I was thinking that maybe, more than 20 years after the start of the Iraq war, media coverage would be more skeptical and less sycophantic

No such luck

Excellent news
Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop!

Mobilized anti-Trump resistance is exceeding 2017 levels
"No Kings Day" protests turn out millions
Our unofficial estimate is that around 4 million people attended a protest event yesterday. Anti-Trump resistance is outpacing 2017.

It should not be lost on anyone that Minnesota Rep Melissa Hortman, who was shot to death in her home last night by an assassin, was a gun safety advocate who worked tirelessly to protect her constituents from gun violence.

Something just hit me. Trump’s tactics might have just awakened a sleeping giant.

All day, I’ve been seeing clips of children of immigrants newly activated: speaking up and pushing back harder than their parents ever could.

Future voters.

Every. single. bit. of this
Couple things I learned today:
- Seniors are extremely fired up about this
- "Fuck ICE" is a normie position now
- People are MASSIVELY pissed off about Sen. Padilla being wrestled to the ground in LA
- We all we got, we all we need

Rift Widens Between Elon Musk, Anyone Who Ever Met Him

Hayes: Every provision in this program is cruel and they know it. That's why none of them spoke on it in committee. That's why they have no response. That's why they don't hold town halls. That's why they don't answer questions. All they do is tweet, repeat, and hide in the back until they vote yes

The crisis we face in our country is not Trump, the way every claim he makes is a lie, his admissions of grift, or his destruction of the integrity of the country.

No, the crisis in our country is the nodding & smiling of the people on either side of him - one of whom is the speaker of the House.
Trump: "We had a big trip to the Middle East. We took in $5.1 trillion."

The entire GDP of the US is under $30 trillion, so this is a whopper, as we detailed today in Public Notice: www.publicnotice.co/p/trump-fake...

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country
