Please connect with the VT statehouse to rectify this and stop it from happening again. You may not have jurisdiction, but you have a big voice in order to talk to the State house to get them to speak out too. THIS IS NOT OK! Thank you for your work, always!! <3
Today, Mohsen Mahdawi, a legal resident of Vermont, walked into an immigration office to complete a final step for citizenship. Instead, he was arrested by plain-clothed, armed individuals with faces covered. This is immoral, inhumane, and illegal. He must receive due process and be released.

When people say they "don't get" something or, more importantly, someone... it feels like an insult to the authentic and decent people they don't get. So hear us when we answer those that don't get it, the transgender community deserves the support of anyone who believes in GOOD. That's all.
I’ve heard from some folks that they feel like they just “don’t get” people who are transgender and don’t understand their experience. I hear you. The bottom line is that you don’t have to understand everything about a person to still believe they are entitled to respect and basic human dignity.
