Liberal Democrat. Brexit was stupid. If trying to understand & help your fellow citizens is wrong, then I'm wrong.

Hard agree with my local MP @maxwilkinson.bsky.social

And I very much appreciate him speaking up.

Has your MO?

If not, why not?

Give him or her a very hard nudge.
Ed is right. The BBC needs to reconsider its approach to Farage and Reform. The corporation has a duty to report all sides of a discussion - that doesn’t mean making special allowances for one party. It risks losing the trust of even more licence fee payers.
The BBC are constantly bending over backwards to please Reform.

I fear they're becoming a mouthpiece for Nigel Farage, a guy who wants to destroy them.

The Telegraph today carries a news story about someone paying £7.4 million for a handbag (Hello, Lady Bracknell!). And an opinion piece describing a wealth tax as a ‘moral abomination’. What a time to be alive.

Quick update on Covid levels in England - the newest variants are dominant here but are NOT causing a significant (or barely any) wave of infections.

This is good news!

Great news 😀 👇
This is good news, reversing a brazenly partisan change by the previous government.

Whatever the merits of First Past the Post for parliamentary elections, it is manifestly unsuitable for mayoral elections, where the winner really does take all.
🔔 CONFIRMED: the Government is abandoning First Past the Post... for mayoral and PCC elections.

This is the first acknowledgement we’ve seen from the Government that First Past the Post is not fit for purpose in an age of multi-party politics.

Mayoral elections should be just the first step.

Dear BBC, Reform is setting the agenda because you build them up, ignoring they have lost MPs to resignation and corruption, that they lost council seats defended, and failed to question their proposals, while inviting their leader endlessly on to your programmes www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

But are Reform really “making the political weather” as you, so uncritically say, Chris Mason, or are you making it for them by hyperventilating over each grubby little Tory-Reform-reshuffle, without *ever* properly scrutinising the howling failures of these deeply unpleasant, grifting clowns?

If you’re unwilling to pay a bit more tax on your millions to help the most vulnerable, then please, go ahead and fuck off.
