the general public seems to find the tedium that their lives have become unacceptable & instead of building a community/adopting interesting hobbies they simply seek out a more exciting alternative & place themselves at the center of their own fantasy story with the nebulous "them" as the antagonist
one thing i have found is that some people come to my tiktoks asking me to provide esoteric truths and get frustrated when my answers are much less exciting

Speaking ill of the dead is controversial, particularly when it was a violent death. It’s edgy; it’s sensitive; best avoided in most cases, etc.
Baselessly making another person’s murder *about yourself,* and then approving of it, is a different thing. That is delusional, narcissistic, sociopathic.

I had a popular account with a valuable audience and my Twitter payout was $80 a month-ish, to the point where I disabled monetization instead of uploading my ID. Payouts are only material if you live in a developing country, so “guy in Nigeria posting right-wing Amerislop” has taken over the site.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.
My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.
