UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

sometimes i wonder what the fuck is the point of being a democrat anyways (other than being able to vote in my state primaries)? rarely do i ever feel represented & more often than not i have seen elected democratic officials turn around and prostrate so long as it gives them personal gain

SO this lady who lives miles away from me in a different neighborhood filed a complaint w/the city that’s now potentially going to get my little free library & little free pantry shut down unless we can amend code to specifically protect site amenities as such pls sign my petition

my sibling Ace’s Little Free Pantry and Little Free Library are potentially going to be shut down after four years due to someone (not in the same city!) complaining about it. If you can take the time to give a digital signature, it would mean a lot.

grief persists in weird ways, like how i still save tiktoks in a folder for my friend AJ. how i remarked tonight to Ace that my algo has moved away from showing me videos of our shared humor, only for it to give me five in a row that i think would’ve made him laugh. the folder is up to 615 now.
