Very pleased to see our latest study published at CDDpress. We show that #Seratrodast, an approved drug, is a suppressor of #ferroptosis by inihibiting lipid peroxidation.
Thanks to Jule, Wulf, and the rest of the team!

Excited to share our study out in @natcellbio.nature.com! Led by @mikelangelipid.bsky.social, we identify the first #LipidDroplet lipid quality control pathway: LD-localized FSP1 protects stored lipids from oxidative damage and prevents LD-initiated #ferroptosis.

FSP1-mediated lipid droplet quality control prevents neutral lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis - Nature Cell Biology
Lange et al. identify a lipid droplet quality control pathway in which FSP1 safeguards stored neutral lipids from lipid peroxidation, thereby preventing the induction of ferroptosis.

Check out our new paper 🎉. Thanks to everyone who was involved 🙏🏻.
My first postdoc paper in @m-vincendeau.bsky.social lab is out in Frontiers in Immunology.🥳

We identified that hepatitis viruses, especially HBV, upregulate specific human endogenous retrovirus (HERV) groups that are linked with autoimmune diseases.

Frontiers | HERV-K10 as a mediator of immune modulation in hepatitis infections
The human genome contains ~8% of endogenous retroviruses (HERVs), whose reactivation has been implicated in diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders....
