If you’re looking to do something meaningful in the next few days, tell your city councilors — particularly @councilordunphy.bsky.social & Steve Novick — that they made the right vote diverting $ the cops don’t even need to parks.

They are getting pressure from conservatives to flip their votes.

Something people (including me whoops) have not been mentioning much, is that LA is straight up on it’s 4th day of anti-ICE protests, predominately led by the HS students. As in students are ditching class to walk out to protest ICE in our city.

In addition to the 12 Dem senators that voted to pass the Laken Riley Act, Biden and Harris deserve just as much blame for capitulating to the right and showing no leadership on the issue. It’s a a result of their cowardice. Harris positioned herself as more hardline than Trump and now here we are.
