The White House is laser focused on threatening a military takeover of Greenland.

Where’s the same focus on lowering costs?

More humility should be the order of the day. No one really knows how anything will turn out. So you might as well try to do your best and importantly to take constructive action where you can. Nothing else is within your control.

The clock ticks & forces action from us all:

"Americans and Europeans should take stock of where this is likely headed and exert all possible mechanisms of control to curb US militarism and to protect the interests of Ukraine and Europe. The United States is no longer a reliable ally of the West."
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Our investigation finds that Trump's actions in Venezuela and Greenland are the product of a long-running Russian influence campaign that began during his first term. Read + share the complete report.

Time is slippery. Our collective "we're very close" is already past tense for marginalized targets of systemic white supremacy. Some of us have long lived under the heavy hand of oppression. Now it stretches out to grab the rest. The way through tyranny is solidarity. We outnumber them.
We need to grapple with the reality that we're very close to living in a police state.

"Officers repeatedly pressed her on whether she was Venezuelan, what her connection to Venezuela was, and why she had attended the protest. Plichta claimed they tried to get her to identify other demonstrators."

Cops moved in with handcuffs while the teacher was still on camera.

And given the Constitution's prescriptions regarding Articles 1 and 3, in this current crisis both Congress and the Supreme Court have proven themselves as unfit for their offices. This is a full-blown crisis of our Republic.
Today as it did five years ago, the Constitution disqualifies Donald Trump from holding office.

Your occasional reminder that Trump is the most unpopular president in modern (post-WWII) times.

He's underwater in 40 states with the remaining ten representing only 59 of the total 538 electoral votes (!)

If only media would preface and frame their POTUS coverage with these telling data.

Stephen Miller is Trump’s most important and influential aide because he channels and shares the president’s worldview. His cold-blooded assessment that might makes right is the one immutable law of history and is now the guiding concept behind US foreign policy…

"By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland?"

The implied answer is obviously "by force" and if we're going to pick a fight with the entire world, that will eventually mean testing our military strength against literally everyone.
TAPPER: Can you rule out the US is going to take Greenland by force?

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

T: So force is on the table?

M: Nobody is gonna fight the US militarily over future of Greenland

This seems to be an extremely troubling feature of the American character, in that it seems to happen pretty consistently whenever one party gets a chokehold on the white South.

Right.

If you want a good explanation of why the American system of government worked well enough for 200 years and then suddenly stopped, it's because Republicans in Congress suddenly started letting their partisan interests COMPLETELY override their institutional interests
a lot of problems wouldn't exist if we had a congress with even an ounce of self interest
Honestly insane they didn't brief the gang of eight until it was underway

I don't want to see people normalizing in any form that "Greenland is next" -- or Mexico or Canada or wherever. What I want to see is people and governments organizing swiftly and with urgency to prevent further American aggression in the world. We cannot let the world slide further into disaster.
