A European counter-proposal has some of the elements needed to end Russia's war:

It occurs to me that the older you get the more you come to terms with your own mortality.
Once you've got there, it's just a hop, step and a jump to realising that no person, no organisation, no state or state organ has anything to say about your life and choices any more.
