Uhh… maybe I’ll stay in Korea? Holy hell what an evil, illegal, immoral, global fucking embarrassment.

I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but it’s been 2026 for 14 hours in Seoul and I’ve already lost my wallet, passport, and camera in a taxi.

Made my son pose with this tiny car in Seoul because it reminded me of the car Sam Lowry drives in BRAZIL.

Rob Reiner was one of the key people behind the effort to go to court to overturn California's anti-marriage equality Proposition 8 when it passed in 2008.

Working with Chad Griffin, they founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights and got Ted Olson and David Boies to team up to fight Prop 8.

My first job after moving to Los Angeles was as a runner delivering tapes all over LA County in my 1994 VW Golf with a manual transmission, no air conditioning, and nothing but a Thomas Guide to direct me. Aren't these the same idiots who like to opine about a manliness crisis?

ELLA MCKAY is a disappointing mess but more films should open with Julie Kavner talking to camera.

The parallel doesn't quite work, but each time I see Fallon welcoming the day's newest monster, I think of VELVET GOLDMINE's Tommy Stone — the assumed identity Brian Slade takes after reinventing himself as a Reagan-era toady.

First Saturday in a month that didn’t involve any work. Put up Christmas tree and decorations, drank some wine, played board games with the kid. An almost perfect day.

I can't get over the 4" rise on his jeans.
Hawley is pitching his colleagues — and Trump — on a new health care plan that would allow all tax payers to deduct up to $25K/person in medical expenses.

Hawley told us he recently discussed the idea with Trump: “I said...'no taxes on tips, no taxes on health care’, and he goes ‘oh I like that."

My Spotify stats are top secret because a band I don't like is always #1. (Said band, we discovered, puts our son to sleep almost instantly and has since he was an infant. It is without fail part of our nightly bedtime routine.)

If all of these bastards don’t end up in The Hague…
Harvard Law School’s Jack Goldsmith:

“In short, if the Post’s facts are correct, it appears that Special Operations Forces committed murder when the ‘two men were blown apart in the water, as the Post put it.’”

Everyone reading and quoting the Lizza substack makes me feel like Busta Rhymes in the NAKED GUN reboot pleading "don't do it, don't do it!" but you're still going back for more chili dog.

Staying at a hotel in Oklahoma where both the Suns and LSU teams are staying. So far no inside knowledge beyond “they tall.”

OCEAN'S 14 with Soderbergh

(Also using this opportunity to declare OCEAN'S 8 is fine!)
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

I do think it's time for some of the discussion to shift from "is there a bubble?" to "What's the least painful way to unwind all this?"
One explanation for economic populism in the US is the recurring cycle of bubbles and bailouts that happens without any democratic input

Spotted in La Crescenta: bumper sticker on a car driven presumably by an Altadena resident that read "Keep honking. My house burned down!"

This reminds me of a Harrison Ford appearance on Conan promoting ENDER'S GAME the Monday after it opened to underwhelming numbers. The audience went wild as he sat down and he deadpanned, "Where were you this weekend?"
My movie Looney Tunes: Back In Action came out 22 years ago today!! Who here saw it in theaters? And where were the rest of you??
