The number of children injured or killed by cars while walking or riding a bike has fallen steadily since the 1970s, but CDC researcher note that this decline is not because streets are safer, but because fewer kids are out and about in the first place.
Kids need freedom. Dangerous roads make it hard to grant it.
Bigger cars, distracted drivers and worried parents mean fewer kids are roaming freely.

It’s a bug’s life - a Giant Leopard Moth’s life, to be specific. Looks like a cicada with camouflage. Way cool.

Stalin and his successors couldn’t silence it. Mao and his successors couldn’t silence it. Khomeini and the ayatollahs couldn’t silence it. But Donald Trump has just silenced the voice of freedom. My latest @postopinions.bsky.social column. wapo.st/43PyNYo
Opinion | Stalin, Mao and Khomeini couldn’t quell freedom’s voice. But Trump did.
The world’s autocrats are doing somersaults about the silencing of the Voice of America.

As it should be. Great release for the parade attendees, tho something makes me think that wasn't the reason for the presence of the swastikars in the parade.

In #UsSoccer, do we need this? Is MLS overflowing with top talent, such that another D1 is needed or even possible?

Glad that Dr. King isn't here to see the inauguration today that coincides with a day focused on proper community service. I wonder how he would respond. Apathy or hiding from reality ain't it. Have to convert dispair into energy.
