All of us, regardless of what we look like or where we were born, should feel safe at school, at the doctor’s office, or at a house of worship. Due to the Trump Administration, ICE now has free reign to arrest people in these sacred spaces, threatening their sanctity for everyone.

NEW: a federal court in DC has barred DHS from using “expedited removal” to strip those people who entered the country legally through humanitarian parole of a right to a court hearing.

All across the U.S., people are showing up for their hearings and sharing their information voluntarily, only to be met by ICE agents outside courthouses, arrested and removed from the U.S. without due process. We had our first hearing in court today in CHIRLA v. Noem to stop this harmful practice.

Unaccompanied children deserve everyone’s protection, and yet Trump is making it impossible for them to get it.

Together, we must fight back and ensure immigrant children have an advocate by their side when they need it most.
