It's being reported that New Zealand has banned puberty blockers for transgender youth. I removed New Zealand from my recommendations to families fleeing a while back after the far right saw a surge in power in the country.

It really sucks how knowledge is only really valued if it can be monetized. There's so much interesting culture and history that we can never learn because we have to spend all our time and energy just trying to scrape together enough money to survive.
I wish I could go back to school for a degree in folklore/mythology but unfortunately that would be even less useful than my entomology degree 😔
