Deb assigned me two prompts to choose from for April. You may have noticed I skipped those. Mostly, of course, because the second one snagged my attention and I didn’t want to do it. So this month I will again ignore prompt #2 and see what I make of prompt #1. #breadcrumbs #fairytales

Here is your reminder that @5calls.org takes all the work out of calling your reps except the part where you actually call. They gather the phone numbers for you based on zip code and have a few bullet points for you to share about concerns, such as the attempt to take over the USPS. Call your reps!

5 people were arrested for the murder of a trans man in NY after a month of allegedly torturing him. Meanwhile, thanks to Elon/Felon/GOP, we're no longer even trying to help find missing trans people.

This is state-aided genocide. Is that what you Republicans voted for?
NamUs, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, has removed all mentions of trans people from its website. If we go missing they don't want us to be found.

There is nothing left for me now.
I might wish I had made other choices,
not jumped in so quickly
consumed the promises you made.

An excellent #middlegrade verse novel by #SiduraLudwig for anyone who has not felt at home in their body. In SWAN: THE GIRL WHO GREW, Anna overcomes the aches of her 7-foot body, family worries, bullying and fears to love the body she’s in. Outstanding. Moving. Highly recommended!

We couldn’t agree more.

Check our pinned post for details on a book club we’re hosting for NEVER SAY YOU CAN’T SURVIVE
I feel more than ever that making up stories can help save us and keep us whole.
Back in 2020-2021, I wrote a book about how to survive scary hard times by writing your own stories and getting lost in the imaginary worlds you create.

So this feels like good timing: Never Say You Can't Survive is just $2.99 in ebook formats for just one day.
