I write about bullies. I write about teens who fight back. I write about narcissists who charm everybody. I write about teens who see through them. I write about fascists who think they own everyone. I write about teens who take back what is theirs. @nervesofsteel is my love letter to journalists.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

Since 2020, I have been fighting for mail-in voting and the GOP has been fighting against it. A critical court case is now going before the U.S. Supreme Court. I can assure you that I will be there fighting hard to ensure every lawful ballot counts.

These 8 useless Democratic Senators are all wealthy and have feathered themselves a lovely retirement nest.

They don't need to be in these positions anymore.

They can amble away into the privileged nothingness that defines their spinelessness and lack of courage.

Demand more and better, folks.

@hassan.senate.gov VOTE NO. The bill does not contain provisions to extend the ACA subsidies. Without these credits, 22 million Americans will be forced to either go without healthcare coverage or pay hundreds extra each month. People cannot afford this!

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Holder: The Supreme Court is a broken institution. And it’s something that has to be part of the national conversation in ’26 and in ’28.

If there is a Democratic trifecta in 2028—and I think the possibility of that is pretty good—Supreme Court reform has to be on the table.

Nearly 8 in 10 Americans agree that spending by wealthy donors and corporations in our elections gives rise to corruption — including majorities of Republican and independent voters.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

We must overturn Citizens United.
