A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

They started with the undocumented, then they went after visa holders and permanent residents, now it's naturalized citizens.

How many times must history rhyme and repeat before we realize what's going on?

That is both messed up and disgraceful! You can’t just delete history!

Arlington National Cemetery has removed information about prominent Black, Hispanic, and female service members, as well as topics such as the Civil War, from its website.

This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

These are bold and wild allegations from the FBI, which is moving to criminalize organizations like Habitat for Humanity for receiving grants from the EPA.

In a court filing, Citibank disclosed that it had been directed by the FBI to freeze the bank accounts of these groups.

My favorite series as a child and probably the most influential was the "His Dark Materials" trilogy by Philip Pullman. I love banned and challenged books and have been trying to collect as many as possible. I've had fun tracking down graphic novel versions of them for my son.

Cuts in NIH research grants will have a lasting negative impact on science and medicine in the U.S. Grants will continue to fund specific research costs, but essential infrastructure like labs, advanced equipment and support staff are crucial for groundbreaking work.
