Der Spiegel have a neat interactive looking at voter flows. Collapsing centre-left parties along with a rising far-right might give a slightly misleading impression of the election—the biggest movements were SPD and FDP->Union and Union->AfD, not SPD->AfD www.spiegel.de/politik/deut...

Die aktuell noch nicht ausgezählten Wahlkreise liegen ganz überwiegend im Westen (vor allem BW und NRW). Dort liegt das BSW ansonsten eher bei 4 %. Dass es von den aktuellen 4,94 % noch über die 5 % steigt, scheint mir darum sehr unwahrscheinlich.

Where are cabinet members most likely to study abroad? The answer is 1) the US, 2) their neighbor or 3) their former colonizer.

We gathered data on the educational history (and much else) on more than 45k cabinet members globally from 1966-2021. The data is not public but will be later this year.

Therefore, this order sets forth a process to ensure accountability for the previous administration’s weaponization of the Federal Government against the American people. Sec. 2. Policy. It is the policy of the United States to identify and take appropriate action to correct past misconduct by the Federal Government related to the weaponization of law enforcement and the weaponization of the Intelligence Community. Sec. 3. Ending the Weaponization of the Federal Government. (a) The Attorney General, in consultation with the heads of all departments and agencies of the United States, shall take appropriate action to review the activities of all departments and agencies exercising civil or criminal enforcement authority of the United States, including, but not limited to, the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission, over the last 4 years and identify any instances where a department’s or agency’s conduct appears to have been contrary to the purposes and policies of this order, and prepare a report to be submitted to the President, through the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and the Counsel to the President, with recommendations for appropriate remedial actions to be taken to fulfill the purposes and policies of this order.

Ich verstehe alle, die keine besondere Lust verspüren, sich in diesem Kampf besonders sichtbar zu machen. Aber euch muss auch klar sein: Es sind nie „nur“ Gender Studies gemeint. Es geht um Wissenschaftsfeinde gegen Wissenschaftsfreiheit.

Meine Wissenschaftsfreiheit wird durch die AfD-Drohungen nicht direkt eingeschränkt. Ich kann forschen, lehren, publizieren. Aber es beeinflusst das Umfeld, in dem ich lehre - Studierende wissen wenig über mein Feld außer „Gegenstand von Streit“ - & öffentlich kommunizieren kann. #wisskomm

Das Szenario (CSU unter 5%) wird oft diskutiert werden. Anmerkung: Die Wahlrechts Reform wird es der CSU leichter machen mehr als 5% zu erhalten. Es wird deutlich weniger Split-Voting geben, da Wähler ihre Erst durch die Zweitstimme absichern. Insofern eher mit den 6.2% für die Erststimmen rechnen.

Okay, hier kommt das Horrorszenario: Laut neuem Wahlrecht gibt es keine Extrawürste mehr gegen die 5%-Hürde. Die CSU kam 2021 auf 5,2%. Dass sie den Einzug verpasst, ist also möglich. Diese Vorstellung ist zwar im ersten Moment lustig, könnte aber dazu führen, dass die AfD stärkste Fraktion wird. 😶
