Dying at the KLUTCH SPORTS GROUP hoodie being worn in the courtroom.
Two hours after his hearing, Billups has been escorted out of the building by his attorneys and into a car. He did not say anything.

Even the most cynical Blazers fans have to feel hope tonight. Portland has a tough, defensive-minded identity, and its young core is locked up on sweetheart contracts with Dame healing on the bench. LFG!

Lamar Hurd referencing The Lion King on Broadway 45 seconds into the game and making it relevant to what’s happening on the court.

Portland has such a good TV product, and it’s going to suck when Condon fires the broadcasters to go cheap like he did in Carolina.

Reminder: Reporters can simply do this, rather than concede the narrative.
I'm going to publish the entirety of an exchange I just had with the press office of the DOJ. I want you to see how they are talking about truth.

The White House ordered heavily armed military soldiers to arrive outside a press conference by a dissident governor and just stand there.

Wearing masks to conceal their identities.

What is being done to the country I treasure, and the freedom my ancestors fought for, sickens me beyond words.
Armed Trump administration agents wearing masks just showed up outside of Gavin Newsom’s press conference.

This is what rising fascism looks like.

“Remote” to whom? Morrow County is a whole lot easier to get to than Portland if you’re coming from fast-growing communities like Hermiston or the Tri-Cities.

Great reporting, but this “othering” framing can only turn off rural readers we all need engaged with media like the O.
The Oregonian reported in 2022 that officials in a remote county lured Amazon data centers with millions in tax breaks -- then positioned themselves for a windfall through contracts with Amazon.

The Oregon DoJ sued today, saying those officials exploited a rural nonprofit for personal gain.
Oregon DOJ says public officials exploited nonprofit to cash in on Amazon data centers, reap millions for themselves
“You have people in this situation who knew that this company was undervalued and sold it to themselves and misled folks for personal gain."

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

I'm sorry but the largest protest of my lifetime is not the 7th or 8th biggest news story in the country behind "what does Gen Z want from Instagram?" This shit is humiliating. Rearrange your layout to meet this moment. Omitting the thing happening in every American city is malpractice.

It’s not possible to deport children or citizens. The proper term “trafficked” and it’s a felony. Everyone responsible should be arrested.

The NYT and other outlets stopped using "pro choice" language decades ago to avoid bias, but here's the Times' lede this morning on Texas gutting public education. "Private school choice" is already available to anyone who wants to pay for it. This is a gutting of public education.

I'm not going to stop saying this. We need to stop calling it "deporting." It may not always be fair or humane, but deportation has a process. And it means you're sent back to where you came from. These people are being trafficked and sold to slave prisons. Not deported.
Leavitt confirmed that the WH is working on deporting US citizens to El Salvador
