Vit Krejci is also expected to be available tomorrow to make his Blazers debut after the trade from Atlanta.

Scoot is officially upgraded to "Doubtful" for tomorrow -- which, following the pattern for Jrue Holiday and Jerami Grant coming back from long-term injuries, likely means he doesn't play tomorrow but does play Friday.

Deni Avdija is also doubtful.
Scoot Henderson said today at practice that he feels “amazing” and today he went through everything and felt physically like he could keep going. Wouldn’t say whether he’s going to play tomorrow. That’s up to the medical staff.

The WNBA & WNBPA met for roughly 3 hrs at the league offices in New York City on Monday. The WNBA showed up without a proposal.

“That kind of set the tone for the conversation because we were hoping to hear otherwise," Nneka Ogwumike told me.

WNBA Offered No Proposal at Critical CBA Meeting
The sides met in person for the first time in months Monday. The league still hasn’t responded to a December proposal from the players.

Deni Avdija is now an All-Star. But just 3 years ago he was unsure about his future in the league.

“Do I really belong here?” he’d ask himself.

I spoke to Avdija about that journey, for @yahoosports.bsky.social:

Portland is a team that has the ability to do stuff and as a result people put them in all these trade machine proposals without any consideration for what they would get out of it. Happens every year.
I was listening to the Hoop Collective pod they said “if Portland can do it to get off Grant’s contract” in the same breath they talked about Towns coming to Portland. They didn’t even sound like they believed it.

I don't know how you can look at how long the Blazers held out on the Dame trade to get the absolute most they could get in return and then think they'll just give the Bucks back their picks to help another team get Giannis if it's not *really* made worth their while.

Deni Avdija is once again listed as "Questionable" for today against the Wizards. Tiago Splitter said last night that he expects him to play.

Programming note: My flight to DC was cancelled so I'm stranded in Boston today and going to New York tomorrow.
