Worth a read. Pensions of all kinds hand our money over to capitalists to speculate and profit with or loan to those using it against us. It's why they want to "privatize" Social Security, which simply transfers money from those earning it to those who no longer earn it - thru no capitalist hands!
Your pension could be funding the very forces undermining workers’ rights, housing, and the planet.

Rebecca Burns reports on how unions are fighting back—and how retirement savings could be reclaimed for the common good.

People of Illinois, we need your help.

Get your cell phones out – record what you see. Put it on social media. Peacefully ask for badge numbers and identification. Speak up for your neighbors.

We need to let the world know this is happening – and that we won’t stand for it.

Say WHAT? China's retaliated against Trump tariffs by refusing delivery of Boeing jets, America’s #1 manufacturing exporter. We're trading Machinist Union jobs that pay an average of $119K a year so we can bring back jobs sewing sneakers for 33 cents an hour—Nike’s average shop floor pay in China. 🤦

Kander: This is a trade war of choice to support Trump's ego, I guess.

Gupta: And his bank account. He's leveraging the pressure of tariffs to get favorable private deals for the Trump enterprise...

Kander: What an argument! You have to be able to afford less so that the President can get richer.

Not a single international cargo ship at the Port of Seattle. The port is dead. The last ship from China will dock at a West coast port on the 29th, and the last Chinese ship will dock on the East coast around May 10th. After that, there will be no more shipments arriving from China. We’re screwed.
