If Trump were surrounded by normal people, he'd still personally be a pig, but we'd have a regime like Trump I. The radicalism of Trump II is almost all Vought, Miller, and indirectly Chris Rufo deliberately setting Trump up to do unpopular things, bring avoidable antagonism on himself, and get mad.
