This activist would much rather have us talking about fetuses she hid in her fridge instead of the fact that she directed people to invade an abortion clinic and tie themselves to chairs with ropes and chains that police had to use power tools to unlock

I'm suggesting the Q added to LGBT is necessary as it is inclusive of all community members, not that queer ought to replace LGBT or LGBTQ. Frankly, the clunky and bureaucratic SGM (sexual/gender minorities) is really what we are trying to say. Minus the Q then we are gonna need a 26 letter acronym.

After years of work with this word, my two cents: Queer is the most accurate summary of the entire community as it includes gender AND sexual minorities. No other word does both. Queer = I'm
not straight and/or not cis/binary or in a traditional gender role. It must be used sensitively though.
