Months of continous record heat and this is the result...
Extremely abonormally warm water off the SE coast of China.

This warm water will keep islands like Taiwan, the Ryukyu etc ...abnormally warm for weeks to come.

Patches of intense heat persists into the astronomical autumn in Middle East:
Today the Minimum temperature in the coastal Iranian town of Kharg was 33.0C.

Some stations have never recorded a night minimum below 30C yet, since the beginning of summer.
Every year is more brutal.

So easy to forget that record temperatures aren't just air temperature. If it's 40C that's one thing but if you add humidity, it's deadly.
Brutal conditions in CHINA 24/7 with heat indexes up to 55/60C and hot and humid nights as well with Tmins up to 34C.

More records hottest nights today include
Tmin 32.6 Chibi (Hubei Province)
32.0 Yueyang (Hunan Province).

Heat indexes exceed 50C even at night !

Another extremely hot day in China with temperatures up to 42.7C at Tiancheng.
