Yet nothing will be done. It wasn’t even covered on my local news.
"What Pete Hegseth did is probably the worst thing a soldier could do in the eyes of the military short of murdering someone, and even then, I’d probably argue it’s worse because it could easily get others killed."

@amyklobuchar.com @smith.senate.gov It should not take a senator from France to state the obvious as to what is happening in the US. We need an opposition party to this madness not nice words about bipartisanship. www.reddit.com/r/LateShow/s...

Democrats should be demanding hearings not next week but immediately to address the role of the unelected Elon Musk.
We are witnessing “a coup by a billionaire oligarch who wants to subvert the functioning of government and grab as much private power and control as his ally in the White House will permit. So far, that amount appears to be as much as he wants.” www.americaamerica.news/p/bullies-cr...

Ladies, the call is coming from inside the building. We need you to be sounding the alarm.
When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

@amyklobuchar.com please take note of this. We expect our party to fight for us and democracy.
This is great post Charlotte Clymer. I am reposting and I hope every single person on Bsky reposts and reposts and reposts. WE need to light a fire under our DEMs in Congress. Action is needed to save US Democracy & that action is needed NOW.
"We know you’re out of power. We understand you’re in the minority. We hear that, loud and clear. What we’re not hearing is your anger. We’re not hearing your outrage. We’re wondering whether or not you actually hear us."

Hey what’s bipartisan about Meta blocking Democrat and other hashtags in their platform? Curious minds want to know. Even if it is now not blocked. WTF dude.

Does anyone have a contact for Ann ? Would love to discuss with her the possibility of partnering with her to publish her cartoons exclusively on @bluesky
Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Great idea for a great man.
Stolen from the Wonkette comments:

Friends, I propose that all of us live out our lives as if we were President Carter himself: decent, humble, hopeful, a champion of the less fortunate, forward-thinking, and utterly despised by some of the worst fucking people who have ever lived.

Art drawn by people who very rarely make art and think they are “bad at art” is 1000x cooler than AI art. It’s life-affirming. It’s often unexpected. I cannot overemphasize how much I love when people just go for it. You do not need the machine for this human endeavor.

Good question as it seems like nothing.
So I get that there are different standards of evidence in criminal cases and everything, but still: what the hell has Merrick Garland's Justice Department been doing for the past four years? www.cnn.com/2024/11/21/p...

Balls in your court @smith.senate.gov
Judge-A-Rama continues today!

The Senate is back, and will begin voting to confirm Pennell starting at 11AM. We expect today to be a long one, likely late into the evening.

Tell your senators to confirm every judicial nominee, and thank them for those confirmed so far!

Merry Judge-A-Rama to all who celebrate!

Cloture has been filed on twelve — TWELVE!! — judicial nominees and they could vote to confirm them as soon as today.

Tell your senators to confirm every last judicial nominee!

Go for it Ben.
Good news: Ben Wikler is seriously considering a run for DNC chair, a source familiar with his thinking tells me.

(confirming Natasha Korecki tweet)

Ben would be a great DNC chair: Fully committed to deep organizing and avoids the pitfalls of factional squabbles and finger-pointing.
