Yesterday, I asked Directors Ratcliffe and Gabbard if their Signal chat included information on weapons packages, targets, or timing.

Director Ratcliffe: "Not that I’m aware of."

Director Gabbard: "Not to my knowledge."

Interesting.

Democracy is burning, and we need sites like Bluesky more than ever. And Senator Durbin wants to repeal 230, which would massively stifle the ability of sites like Bluesky to exist, while massively empowering X and Meta.

Why?

It seems that someone in his office doesn't understand 230.
It’s time to repeal Section 230. We must be able to take social media companies to court for addicting kids and enabling drug trafficking on their platforms.
Sen. DURBIN: Fentanyl often gets to our kids and young people through the internet.

Section 230 absolves social media companies from any responsibility. “That has got to end.”

“Accidentally.” More like gross incompetence and mismanagement. Opposite of efficient.

I can’t remember where I read this, but it’s important:

Why is it that when people think about traveling to the past, they worry about doing something small that will drastically change the present, but no one in the present thinks that doing something small today can drastically change the future?

He didn't say that. And if he did, he didn’t mean it. And if he did mean it, you didn’t understand. And if you did, it’s not a big deal. And if it is, others have said worse.

Hey America, no other country is responsible for your drug problem.

Predatory Americans are, just like predatory Canadians are responsible for Canada’s drug problems.

The fix is education and availability of real treatment programs.

this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...

For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.
