Speaking at the launch of this shocking report exposing the ongoing impact of the pollution left behind by past lead mining, Professor Dr Stephan Bose O’Reilly of University Hospital Munich said this: ‘Mining profits were extracted but the poison was left behind.’

Horrifying to see this. It is utterly unacceptable and shameful that this is occurring. We have to resist hatred against communities wherever it occurs.
We cannot let hate win.

The world is looking on in horror as Netanyahu's Government plots to lock Gaza's entire population into effectively a giant prison.

The Prime Minister should make it clear that the UK won't stand idly by, starting by sanctioning Netanyahu himself.

More deliberate disinformation around net zero in the UK press this time in relation to possible alignment of the UK EU ETS. The figures quoted in the article are absolute bollocks. Indeed alignment removes friction to trade and is a positive and welcome step. My gut instinct is that will be agreed.
UK and EU will discuss linking carbon markets at their summit next week

MP cites 'analysis' claiming it will add £112/year to bills, repeated in Telegraph, GB News etc.

Anyone know the source of this...?

Emailed MP and Telegraph journalists but no response

Yesterday, in Westminster, I spoke online to health workers in Myanmar & heard about the ongoing crisis they & their patients are facing. Since the 2021 coup, there have been over 1,500 attacks and threats against health workers and healthcare infrastructure. The world must act to protect them.

WFP’s food stocks in Gaza have been depleted.

◾No food has entered Gaza in over 7 weeks — the longest border closure the Strip has ever faced.
◾WFP has more than 116,000 tons of food positioned at aid corridors, ready to enter as soon as borders reopen.

The international community must act to ensure food reaches the people of Gaza. The Israeli government’s denial of access for essential humanitarian aid is unconscionable
WFP has fully depleted its food stocks in #Gaza.

Today, the last supplies were delivered to hot meal kitchens — Gaza’s only steady source of food for weeks. These kitchens will run out of ingredients in the coming days.

Labour must do more at speed and scale to secure our energy security and green future. That means a much better communications strategy. Working with and not doing to. Energy market reform to lower energy bills sooner rather than latter. Greater support for energy efficiency measures and heat pumps

100% agree. Imagine if the 1945 Labour govt, instead of creating the NHS, had waited until Jan 1946 and announced a Commission on health that would report in 1949 - we wouldn’t now have an NHS.
What *exactly* is a social care commission going to tell us that we don't know?

What is the magical cross-party solve that *multiple* com'ns & reviews, incl a Royal Com'n, have failed to find?

The issue is funding. Its a political choice. MAKE THE CHOICE you're elected to make & get on with it
