Today is International Men’s Day. So here’s to refugee men fleeing abuse, trans men denied healthcare, queer men bullied for being different, Black men racially profiled, disabled men excluded from work, and all the other men who fail at being “real men.” May we continue to cultivate our humanity.

I'm one of those "art is for everyone" people. Do your thing. Be creative. Make work. Have fun with it! It doesn't need to make money. Don't get caught up in competition. Above all, it should be fulfilling. Art making is a practice. Creativity is good for you. Enjoy it.

The BBC was founded to “provide impartial news”. If it's going to be the UK's biggest media organisation, it has to do its job right.

yeah, watching it, I was struck by how much he captured the anger of the moment. yes, he's a charismatic guy presenting a hopeful vision of the future, but he's not obama. he's also up there saying "these people are pieces of shit, and fuck them forever"
I do like that Zohran’s speech wasn’t just “the glory of the purpose that brings us together” stuff but was also some “no fuck that guy for real, he sucks”

Absolutely insane.

Labour would have purged and smeared someone like Zohran Mamdani.

Wes Streeting's politics align far more closely with Andrew Cuomo.

The lessons from Mamdani are about how to defeat both the right - and the bankrupt "centre".

19/ To summarize: Pamela Paul, a racist and a transphobe who shaped the books biz for YEARS, has written an essay w no evidence proving there is a "growing divide" about trans rights amongst LGBTQ ppl. The WSJ publishing shoddy journalism is not just a disservice to trans ppl but the entire public.

🚨 1/ SCOOP We all know Pamela Paul is not a good journalist. But in her (poorly argued) WSJ screed on the alleged "growing divide" in LGBTQ circles abt trans rights, she reports ESPECIALLY badly—including abt Jose Arango & his boyfriend who dumped him.

Paul didn't talk to the boyfriend.

I did.
