Soon small businesses won’t have to wait for Small Business Saturday to get attention from their Mayor.

Some changes that they can look forward to:

I need Democratic online types to understand that because of this, Newsom is dead to me. Dead. I'd sooner vote for an actual corpse. There is no hope, none, that he'll win me over, *because he has established he is a bad person*. There's no coming back from this. Take my advice and move the fuck on.
1. This morning, California Governor said he was in "complete alignment" with anti-LGBTQ+ hate-influencer Charlie Kirk of TPUSA on transgender sports.

He also conceded on trans inmates and gender affirming care for youth.

It's so much worse than being reported.

The California Governor, in the launch of his new podcast, announced that he completely aligned with far-right, ant-LGBTQ+ influencer Charlie Kirk on sports, and agreed on prisons and youth care.

I just watched Pete Hegseth’s speech. He is a dangerous unserious person with a lot of power. He is racist, misogynist, anti-LGBT, & transphobic and he can operationalize that, putting service members and our nation at risk.

Theme song from Monty Python’s Flying Circus played as he left the stage.

The long-term effects of Trump's policies are projected to translate into an 8% reduction in US GPD, a two-year loss in average life expectancy, and hundreds of thousands of deaths in the developing world annually. But at least he doesn't trip over his words the way Biden did.

Before endorsing Andrew Cuomo, I sat him down for a long talk, and we agreed that any future sexual contact he has with interns will be far more consensual.

"According to our back-of-the-envelope math, that puts total attendance somewhere in the 4-6 million people range. That means roughly 1.2-1.8% of the U.S. population attended a No Kings Day event somewhere in the country yesterday."
"No Kings Day" protests turn out millions, rebuking Trump
Our unofficial estimate is that around 4-6 million people attended a protest event yesterday. Anti-Trump resistance is outpacing 2017.

The benefit of cutting social programs was never about saving money. The “benefit” of cutting social programs is keeping “those” people in their place. Its about making sure lower status groups can’t move up the social hierarchy ladder and challenge the “real americans.”
The poverty team at Columbia ran the numbers on *just* the Thrifty rollback and *just* on families with kids and found that for every $1 in cuts ("savings"), we all lose $14-20. My goodness.

As a Louisvillian, I’m outraged.
"Some National Weather Service offices, including Jackson, no longer have overnight staff from midnight to 7AM.

All three Kentucky offices - Jackson, Paducah and Louisville - are short-staffed.

There is no meteorologist in charge at any of the three offices..."

Did staffing cuts at weather service affect Kentucky’s tornado response?
Due to staffing shortages, the National Weather Service in Jackson no longer has overnight staff. But NWS and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear say the office was staffed Friday night and early Saturday.

Very proud to have received the Abolitionist/Ally of the Year award at the JCPS Educators of Color Award event this evening.

I have always tried to incorporate my commitment to racial justice and LGBTQ justice in my policy work for the school district. So this recognition means a lot in my heart.
