Mystery isn't what's left when we run out of explanations. Maybe it's what emerges when we realise the natural and supernatural might be different ways of seeing the same thing.

The Mystery That Holds It All
Does understanding how something works diminish its capacity to move us? Between medical scans, we prayed, and healing came. The sceptic in me knows about unconscious pattern recognition. The believer has felt something larger. Here's what I'm learning: I don't have to choose between faith and reason.

Updated to macOS Tahoe last night and after a day of work, Microsoft Word crashed out, but while doing so made my iMac speakers sound as if I was receiving a text? I don't know how I came to be but the simultaneous shock and nostalgia was offputting.

#WorldStrokeDay hits different when you're "living it".

You can look completely fine whilst your brain and body are doing something entirely different. This is roughly how I see every day. Everything, twice and wonky. Six years on, still here, and grateful.

Late to the Peter Thiel episode of @maklelan.bsky.social’s Data Over Dogma, but this panel immediately came to mind around the 20 minute mark after bringing up Dr Ian Malcolm’s quote from Jurassic Park and turning people into dinosaurs…

Email: The Most Human Channel We Have Left

I don’t think I’ve posted much on blue sky about my religious beliefs, it recently it feels important to share that I’m a progressive Christian. Red letter or otherwise.

The UN has confirmed what we already knew: Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians.

Only last week our government were denying this reality and continue to sell arms to Netanyahu's genocidal regime.

They must wake up and act now to end the genocide.

People are calling for prayers over Charlie Kirk's murder. Condemning violence. I agree violence isn't the answer; but let's not pretend someone who called for "quick and public executions" was just an innocent victim.

The UK’s Online Safety Act is being sold as a way to protect children. But instead, UK politicians are pushing sweeping censorship and forcing platforms to implement invasive age checks. This is not safety–it's surveillance.
Blocking Access to Harmful Content Will Not Protect Children Online, No Matter How Many Times UK Politicians Say So
The UK is having a moment. In late July, new rules took effect that require all online services available in the UK to assess whether they host content considered harmful to children, and if so, these...

So, we’re signing petitions again the online safety act and not using the third-party “AI” verification tools right? Overall a poorly defined and worse implemented law at best, or a terrible authoritarian/draconian way to censor the internet at large (which seems to be spreading to other governments

Looking at new password manager options. I was using Dropbox Password, but that's shutting down. They're recommending 1password but I'm open to alternatives, OR I could just lean into Apple's built-in password manager.

About ten years ago, I had an idea. I was watching friends & family share wildly different news on Facebook & Twitter – some outrage-driven, some clearly biased, some outright misinformation. The how of news was getting harder to trust.

The death toll of Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza is now estimated at 100,000

The list is 1,227 pages long.

The first 11 pages are names of babies dead before the age of 6 months.

The first 381 pages are all children.

1. Today, 200,000 marched in Budapest Pride in defiance of a ban by Orbán's far-right government.

It was led by the city's mayor Gergely Karácsony, who got around the law by making it an "official city gathering."

He was warned of arrest.

They marched anyway.
