Interesting interview with Mitch Easter and Don Dixon about the recording of Chronic Town and Murmur that covers some well-trodden ground, but also features a few nuggets of new information. www.youtube.com/live/Mj9pKkn...

I'm sure this will take weeks or months to reveal all of its treasures, but, on first listen, Columbia knocked this one out of the park. Maybe the best book and liner notes I've seen in a box set.

I saw the Bruce movie last night, and it was just like the Bob movie insofar as the generic composite "girlfriend" character rose above the clichés of the biopic genre to be more compelling than the brooding man-boy ostensibly at the heart of the film.

Maybe you have to love this band like I do to get this, but this album finds the Connells embracing a slightly darker '90s vibe after five albums of '80s jangle, and at the time I did not like it for just that reason, but over the decades the songwriting has grown on me a lot.

The series should have ended after issue #143.
What's an opinion about X-Men that'll get you sent to jail? Is Jean really interesting or really boring? Should Logan have stayed dead? Do you think a certain x-mens outfit is positively horrendous even though people seem to love it?

The Brood Saga is better than Dark Phoenix imo 🤷

New DC Finest books just keep on coming. The Kirby title notably includes contemporary Fourth World-adjacent issues of Lois Lane - I like this wide net approach to curation. The Robin book also looks like it spans different eras of Robin's history.

Sometime after their self-titled album, I slowly dropped off of following Wilco, but I did check out this new solo album out of curiosity, and it's quite good. I also admire the audacity of putting out a nearly two-hour-long triple album in this day and age, on top of a huge body of work.
