IMO the best hope of stopping Faridge and Reform is for Labour to be more progressive, scrap FPTP voting, and for the relatively Progressive parties to form alliances against Reform and Conservative parties.

I recommend installing Ubuntu Desktop 24.04 LTS. I have that on my modern mini desktop, old laptop, Raspberry Pi (running AdGuardHome to prevent Ads appearing on the home network and WireGuard for secure browsing on mobile devices on public networks) and old mini (running my camera network).
I found out that Linux is an OS so that means that I have to download it. But at least it's better than Windows. Just need to buy a decent computer to install which Linux type I should install. Ubuntu is looking real good by reading about the security and customization aspect 👍🏿

I've had no problems on my Ubuntu upgrades in the last few years. Mind you, I only upgrade from an LTS to the following LTS. Also, I wait for 6 months after an LTS is released, normally when the .1 version is released.
