Libraries are often the only place for rural poor to access services and support outside of a church. Libraries are the best system we currently have to exercise socialism for the common good. We can’t let them fail.
100% libraries are vital community anchor points. My mom and aunt are retired library directors. My Uncle is currently the Manchester CT library director. My little brother and sister in law are also both librarians. I was basically raised in libraries. Will first hand vouch they genuinely care.
Just a reminder to support your local public libraries! Write letters of support. Use the library often & in many different ways. Show up to meetings.
Library staff have been begging for help, advocacy, and action for years. Please show up for libraries.
