The Railways Bill came to Parliament yesterday. It offers the chance to rebuild Britain's railways so everyone can travel with freedom, dignity and confidence. But only if words lead to meaningful action.

A record 1,611 people — including 11 children — died while homeless in 2024.

Both Labour and the Conservatives have failed to fix Britain’s housing crisis.

A home is not a privilege.
A home is a human right.

Wonderful series, full of ideas & opinions. As a planner, I particularly like that Tim Heatly (Capital & Centric CEO) doesn't blame us for the Housing 'crisis'... he has no problem with Planning (episode 2).
Our CEO @jeremyhlin.bsky.social features in The Monitor by Housing 2025 on the future of social & affordable housing.

💡Episodes 3–5: Financing confidence, innovation & green housing, predictions for the year ahead.

i remember
that bright September day
how can i forget?

the day two towers fell
and you fell with them
the day hate won

the day your wife
was made a widow
your child’s innocence
shattered

i'm exhausted
by how little has changed
how we never learn.

Imagine living in a home where you cannot take a shower or cook a meal without relying on someone else to help you. Or living in a home where you cannot get in or out safely.

Disabled people don’t have to imagine this. Many of us live this life every day. #AccessibleHomesWeek

Solar power is surging – Britain has already generated more this year than in all of 2024.

Meanwhile, the government’s nuclear plans are crumbling. The Treasury admits a proposal for an underground waste dump is “unachievable” as waste from past projects still has no safe home.
