This is my SSA survivor benefits story. My family of 4 were in a terribly traumatic accident. My husband died immediately. I was hospitalized for a month. I had worked for years, but was a SAHM for a 6 and 7 year old. The benefits gave me time to learn to walk again and find a job to keep our home.
