It's quite striking how many of the outspoken Right wingers don't have much of a backbone when it comes to speaking up for a British institution.

Trump and his cronies have the BBC in their sights. Leaders can’t stay silent while one of our great institutions is attacked.

We must defend its independence, end political appointments, and remove Robbie Gibb from the Board.

The government are reportedly planning on moving some asylum seekers from hotels to military bases...

How about, rather than shipping a few hundred people off to military sites, we let asylum seekers work and contribute to our society and fix our broken asylum system? 🤔

Reading the latest @bylinetimes.bsky.social might help him.
Farage is asked about another two of his MEPs, who made the same pro-Russia statements that Nathan Gill has now pled guilty to being bribed to make.

"Opinions are opinions."

Farage's defence seems to be that they arrived at those views independently and it has nowt to do with him.

Hmm. 🤔 ~AA

Well said, Wes! 👏 👏 👏

Not a peep from the Putin Puppet Farage today over his MP’s divisive and racist rhetoric. Not fit to govern.

The Caerphilly result is what we need to see everywhere at the next election: people coordinating to vote tactically for parties which seek a fairer, kinder, greener country.
Pushing out both those who have betrayed our trust AND those who seek to exploit that betrayal.

Global systems: the Reagan/Ontario ad...
UPDATE: Trump is freaking out about the (very effective) anti-tariffs ad Canada 🇨🇦 is running in 🇺🇸 (during baseball playoffs), saying trade negotiations are now “terminated” — so here it is again 👇🏽

Reagan’s audio is, of course, VERY REAL. He is lying: www.youtube.com/shorts/Mj6N-...

And poor Chris Mason....he'll be lying down in a darkened room now. Well done, Plaid.
Make no mistake, the Caerffili by-election is embarrassing for Reform after all the noise they’d made, doing a victory lap on the media rounds all week and even some of their supporters claiming victory.

65% of Caerffili voters told them they’re not wanted.

The far right has a ceiling at 1 in 3.

Enjoyed 'Bardot' on Channel 4 Walter Presents. Such a flawed woman in her youth, though her natural beauty shone through. Julia de Nunez plays her beautifully.
