i don't think this is even a real statistical anomaly anymore. it seems like there's someone in the crowd at every mass shooting who has been through it before. this doesn't have to be our shared cultural experience.

Making white people afraid has more political efficacy in this country than almost anything, save for cash. Between those two fundamentals, there's no level of evil we can't achieve as Americans.
@audacityofdespair.bsky.social haven’t seen it anywhere, and maybe I missed it, but the war on immigration has a lot of parallels to war on drugs. Not addressing the core issue, targeting poor/brown people, and the Kristi Noem photo op at the El Salvador prison being the “dope on the table”.
