Rocket scientist, dad, husband, and Lutheran trying to make the world smile a bit. This is most certainly true.

Lover of Star Wars, board games, Michigan, Brewers, Packers, dad jokes.
The discourse is gonna be all about how Caleb Williams wouldn't let the Bears lose (and that last throw and catch was outstanding), but it's totally forgetting that the Packers in this game were basically those monks that make a scene of punching each other in the nuts to toughen up.

Saw Jon Runyan Jr. proposed Michigan hiring Adam Stenavich as HC. I strongly support this only because I would totally send an email like:

Dear Coach Stenavich,

Remember that time you pancake blocked me on a sweep in HS while your team trampled us 49-0? Good times! Pls send free tix.

This entire thread points to the fabric of what is ACTUALLY the American Dream that these idiots keep missing - it's that if you come here and work hard, you can make something amazing. THAT is American culture. This jingoistic fear of foreigners is repugnant.
My great-uncle was born in the Russian Empire and wrote God Bless America
Rep. Kat Cammarck: "Today, one in six people in the US is foreign born. That quite frankly is not sustainable to maintain a culture that we are known for here in the United States."

Let's see... Young Michigan team built on a dominant running game hosts a dominant OSU team with all-world WRs and a QB throwing absolute darts that has not been tested in months in Ann Arbor on a cold afternoon with likely snow in the 2nd half.... Where have I seen this before?

Was great seeing Roary and his fans tonight! Hope you had a great night!
Since my son's costume is Roary, the Lions mascot, we're dressed as Lions fans, so here is my Hutchinson combo from the stands, classic Thanksgiving throwback jersey and Michigan hat, which has to be commonplace at Ford Field.

Brewers are going to need to get their bats going or this long series is going to get really really short. Need a good crooked number inning to break things open. #ThisIsMyCrew

So hard to do cuz you're so trained as a ballplayer to bail on that, but ugh Turang HAS to wear that inside sweeper. At least they showed life in the 9th. Gotta get a win tomorrow night. #ThisIsMyCrew

But that Rose Bowl though... 😍😍🏆
Oh, look, Michigan went to the Los Angeles area and played USC, and it went much more poorly than we had hoped. This is like every Rose Bowl I remember from my childhood, save the one.

So much this. I can't stand listening to the national crews after a year. Problem for me as a Brewers fan is that Brian Anderson goes and does the national broadcast, so the regular local crew would be unavailable.

Still, anything is better than having to listen to the John Smoltz's of the world
But then Jason couldn't get stuck in the good luck Uber...

Really walked into that one. That's a dream #dadjoke setup.
Her: "Who's your favourite literary vampire?"
Me: "The one in Sesame Street."
Her: "He doesn't count."
Me: "I can assure you that he does."

Yup, this is pretty spot-on, though if they subdivided a bit further, I'd argue that the strip of WI north of MKE to Green Bay and over to Lake Winnebago is it's own sub-region. The dialect there is unique (bubbler originates here) and it's definitely not Northwoods until north of Green Bay.
This feels good to me, at least from my understanding of the Midwest. The grouping of Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, and Buffalo makes a great deal of sense to me.
This is the most accurate depiction of the Midwest to date. Wichita has always felt like the last Midwest city while also being the first plains city.

I cannot imagine having earned my rank as a general or admiral and being forced to listen to Pete Hegseth lecture me on how physical fitness and hygiene and shaving beards is the key to being successful in today's military.

What an absolute disgrace.

Doubs with poor effort on that screen. A small push probably springs that.

So the missed grounding call sucks, though I think they missed one on Love earlier too. But there's just no excuse to allow a big kick return and then play so soft in the secondary with the game on the line - YOU HAVE MICAH PARSONS! Play in their grill a bit and give the rush a chance, ferpetessake

There's 4 seconds. Why would you even THINK of punting? Took the announcers way too long to catch on.

Occam's Razor suggests something more mundane than meteors. However they ignited, those firestorms were terrifying. Some absolutely harrowing stories came out of Peshtigo, especially the several DAYS before anyone knew about it. Peshtigo Fire was a key part of WI history class back in 4th grade.
Yep. It's an interesting, but ultimately difficult to prove hypothesis.

Now we just gotta get Fallon, Seth Myers, and John Oliver canned and we can resurrect my favorite podcast of all time! #assemblethestrikeforcefive

It's either this or Jagged Little Pill for me.

Yeah, thought the play calling last week was pretty good.

That first half game plan?

Semaj is definitely chaotic good on the character map. Too many more of those and I'll bump him down to chaotic neutral.
Semaj is going to be the death of me.

Lost amid the Torpedo Bat furor is Brewers pitching stunk to high heaven after Peralta exited Opening Day. The two Opening Day HRs were Yankee stadium specials. But let's wait to see those bats against some pitching that might be at or above league -average first.

Sadly, this year, #ThisIsMyCrew

Only true idiots like Trump and Elon and their cronies would watch Office Space and be like, "You know, those Bobs in that movie had some really great ideas."

This thread from one of my favorite Star Wars authors is very good advice.

Now I gotta figure out what my lane is...

I think my conclusion on why Ohio State is so inconsistent this year is just that Will Howard is not a very good quarterback. There are other issues, but that seems like the main one.
